Welcome to Upper Langdales Farmhouse self-catering holiday cottages in Creeting St Mary near Stowmarket & Needham Market based in the heart of the Suffolk countryside. Set in a quiet country location, there are four gold award-winning self-catering holiday cottages with two being dog-friendly, over-looking picturesque views across meadows and arable farmland.
Upper Langdales is centrally based so you'll find it very easy to explore Suffolk. We are 5 miles from Stowmarket and 2 miles from Needham Market. You can enjoy circular walks around Creeting St Mary or head to nearby Needham Lake which is home to a variety of wildlife where you can pause for a picnic or let children explore the creative play area. Book your cottage for a relaxing peaceful stay or for big family gatherings you can book all four cottages which can sleep up to 12 guests
We provide a welcome pack to all our guests containing bread, milk, cake and local cheese from Alder Carr Farm our local farm shop. You will also find our kitchens are well equipped for a real home from home stay to allow you to rustle up a special supper. All our cottages are individually designed with lovely cosy rooms, crisp white bed linen and fluffy white towels. A separate laundry room is available to all our guests with washing machine, tumble dryer, hoover, ironing board and irons.
Need to stock the fridge? Then visit Alder Carr Farm, only a 5 minute drive for fresh fruit and vegetables, locally sourced meat, cakes and essentials or alternatively pick up a COOK dish, remarkably good wholesome home cooked food. We are tucked away however very accessible for grocery shopping whether it is local produce or the main supermarkets. Local restaurants in Needham Market will home deliver.
All cottages have a TV/DVD player, free WiFi and Roberts radio.
The cottages are situated in the grounds of a charming 16th century thatched Suffolk Pink farmhouse known as Upper Langdales, once owned by Sir Marmaduke Langdale, a prominent figure in the Civil War. This is not a working farm but a peaceful haven of relaxation which is ideally situated for discovering Suffolk with its big skies and rolling countryside.
